This key role involves planning and coordinating production schedules and delivery programmes across interior doors, fire doors, and bespoke joinery products, ensuring on-time delivery and clear communication with the shop floor and logistics teams.

Chase Taylor Recruitment are working on behalf of a well-established interior doors and architectural joinery manufacturer in Cheshire who are looking to recruit an experienced Production Scheduler to join their operations team.

This is a key role within a busy manufacturing environment, responsible for planning and coordinating production schedules and delivery programmes across interior doors, fire doors, and bespoke joinery products. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Manager and wider production team to ensure smooth workflow, efficient scheduling, and on-time delivery of all customer orders.

The Role

As Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day scheduling of production activities and delivery plans, ensuring all customer orders are processed correctly and communicated clearly to the factory floor.

You will act as a key link between operations, production, and logistics, ensuring all information is accurately passed through the business to maintain efficiency and meet customer deadlines.

This role requires strong organisational ability, attention to detail, and previous experience within interior doors, fire doors, or joinery manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule production workloads across interior door and joinery manufacturing operations
• Plan and coordinate delivery schedules in line with customer requirements
• Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure production capacity is fully optimised
• Process and complete customer orders accurately within internal systems
• Communicate production plans and job information clearly to the shop floor teams
• Monitor progress of orders through manufacturing stages
• Adjust schedules based on priorities, delays, or material availability
• Ensure fire door and interior door orders meet compliance and specification requirements
• Liaise with procurement and logistics to ensure materials and deliveries are aligned
• Maintain accurate records of production schedules and delivery timelines
• Support continuous improvement within planning and scheduling processes

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a Production Scheduler, Production Planner, or similar role
• Strong background within interior doors, fire doors, or joinery manufacturing (essential)
• Understanding of manufacturing processes within timber or architectural joinery
• Experience working with production schedules and delivery coordination
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments
• High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Experience working alongside operations or production management teams
