Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Production Quality Engineer in Berkshire. This on-site role is permanent and full-time, focusing on improving quality across the manufacturing lifecycle, from incoming materials through final inspection.

You will lead root-cause analysis, CAPA, 8D and FMEA, supporting NPI and audits while strengthening quality systems in a high-demand electronics environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related field required for quality role.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing quality across PCB/PCBA, assembly, test and inspection.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards; AS9100/ISO 9001 familiarity.
• Strong root-cause analysis, CAPA, 8D and FMEA experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality across full manufacturing lifecycle: incoming materials, PCB/PCBA production, assembly, test and final inspection.
• Lead root-cause and corrective actions, driving continuous improvement.
• Support NPI, audits and strengthen quality systems.
• Hands-on use of measurement, inspection and test equipment.

Education

Relevant Engineering degree

Production Quality Engineering experience within electronics manufacturing

PCB/PCBA manufacturing knowledge

Root Cause / CAPA / 8D / FMEA experience

ERP/MRP experience

Hands-on measurement, inspection and test equipment knowledge

IPC-A-610

If youre a Quality Engineer who wants to improve things, not simply police them, this is worth a conversation. Our client is a growing advanced electronics manufacturer supplying demanding defence, law-enforcement and civil markets. Theyre looking for a Production Quality Engineer who can make a genuine impact on how quality is delivered. Youll work across the full manufacturing lifecycle: incoming materials, PCB/PCBA production, assembly, test and final inspection. Youll investigate real production problems, lead root-cause and corrective actions, support NPI and audits, strengthen quality systems and help create a genuine culture of continuous improvement. This is a hands-on electronics manufacturing quality role, not quality in theory.

We're looking for:

• Relevant Engineering degree
• Production Quality Engineering experience within electronics manufacturing
• Strong PCB/PCBA manufacturing knowledge
• IPC-A-610 & J-STD-001
