Job summary

INDMAN is recruiting a Part 145 Production Planning Engineer to plan and coordinate aircraft maintenance and modification projects from customer engagement through to return to service. You will produce detailed maintenance work packages and manage inputs from engineering, logistics and suppliers.

The role requires five years in aviation maintenance or CAMO, strong Excel/MS Project skills, and a proactive, detail‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in Production Planning within a Part 145 Maintenance Organisation.
  • At least five years' experience in aviation maintenance, CAMO, aircraft operations or aerospace manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance planning processes.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience with MS Project and Excel for planning and reporting.
  • Experience with WINGS ERP or equivalent system.

  • Planning aircraft maintenance and modification projects to protect delivery schedules.
  • Coordinating manpower, tooling, materials and third‑party services.

Location: Stansted, Essex
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30

Are you an experienced Production Planning Engineer with a strong background in Part 145 aircraft maintenance? We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join a well-established aviation maintenance organisation, where you will play a key role in planning and coordinating aircraft maintenance and modification projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive aviation professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced maintenance environment. You will liaise with customers, engineering teams, logistics and third-party suppliers to ensure aircraft inputs are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.

The Production Planning Engineer Role

As a Part 145 Production Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating aircraft maintenance activities from initial customer engagement through to return to service. Your duties will include:

  • Producing detailed maintenance work packages
  • Planning aircraft maintenance and modification projects to protect critical delivery schedules
  • Coordinating manpower, tooling, materials and third-party services
  • Liaising with customers to understand maintenance requirements and manage expectations
  • Working closely with Engineering, Commercial and Logistics departments throughout each maintenance input
  • Coordinating with Part 21 Design Organisations for aircraft modifications
  • Chairing pre-input planning meetings and supporting aircraft acceptance into maintenance
  • Identifying and resolving issues that could impact project timelines
  • Supporting documentation reviews and return-to-service activities
  • Driving continuous improvements to planning processes and operational efficiency.
Production Planning Engineer Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Demonstrable experience in Production Planning within a Part 145 Maintenance Organisation
  • At least five years' experience in aviation maintenance, CAMO, aircraft operations or aerospace manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance planning processes
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and MS Project
  • Experience with WINGS ERP or an equivalent maintenance planning system
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure
  • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
