Job summary

Line Up Aviation is seeking a Planning Engineer for a well-established aviation maintenance operation based in Luton. You will generate and control aircraft maintenance work packages, ensuring compliance with airworthiness regulations while supporting costings and planning activities.

The role requires aviation planning or aircraft maintenance experience, strong organisation, and proficiency with MRO systems such as AMOS, OASES or Rusada. Sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience in generating and controlling aircraft maintenance work packages.
• A good understanding of airworthiness regulations and company procedures.
• Proficiency with MS Office and aviation maintenance planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Generate and issue aircraft maintenance work packages for production staff.
• Ensure activities comply with airworthiness regulations and procedures.
• Support with maintenance costings and hours reviews.
• Create and maintain work cards, planning databases and project documentation.
• Identify tooling, spares and subcontract requirements.
• Liaise with internal departments to provide clear work instructions.
• Support daily planning operations and wider production activities.
• Assist with compliance, safety and audit-related requirements.
• Prioritise workloads in a fast-moving environment.
• Liaise with CAMO and operations regarding maintenance requirements.
• Experience in aviation planning or aircraft maintenance environment.

We are currently recruiting for a Planning Engineer to join a well-established aviation maintenance operation based in Luton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody with aviation planning or maintenance experience to join a fast-paced engineering support environment, playing a key role in the generation and control of aircraft maintenance work packages while ensuring regulatory compliance at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and issue aircraft maintenance work packages for production staff
• Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with airworthiness regulations and company procedures
• Support with maintenance costings and hours reviews
• Create and maintain work cards, planning databases and project documentation
• Identify tooling, spares and subcontract requirements
• Liaise with internal departments to provide clear and accurate work instructions
• Support daily planning operations and wider production activities
• Assist with compliance, safety and audit-related requirements
• Prioritise workloads effectively within a fast-moving operational environment
• Liaise with CAMO and operational teams regarding maintenance requirements
• Previous aviation planning or aircraft maintenance experience
• Experience working within an airline, MRO or similar aviation environment
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
• Good understanding of aviation maintenance and regulatory requirements
• High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
• Right to work in the UK is essential - sponsorship is not available for this role
• Experience using MRO systems such as AMOS, OASES or Rusada
• Previous exposure to aircraft maintenance planning environments

Additional Information

• Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 (inclusive of shift allowance)
• Based in Luton
