Maintenance Planning Engineer
Certain Advantage is hiring for a Maintenance Planning Engineer based in the Shropshire area.
This role is on a contract basis and is site-based.
The Company
We're working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and a separate Space and Defence division.
The Role
This role is for a Maintenance Planning Engineer - someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You'll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.
You'll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Airworthiness, Customer Support and other key departments to ensure effective maintenance planning and delivery.
- Plan and monitor scheduled maintenance for allocated aircraft, ensuring compliance with approved maintenance programmes and airworthiness requirements.
- Prepare, review and manage maintenance workpacks, variations, forecasts and short-term maintenance requirements.
- Monitor aircraft maintenance status, technical log utilisation and maintenance tasks within the Maintenance Information System (MIS).
- Coordinate material requirements, including reservations and purchase requisitions, to ensure all necessary parts and documentation are available ahead of maintenance inputs.
- Liaise with aircraft owners/operators and internal stakeholders to confirm and optimise maintenance schedules, minimising aircraft downtime.
- Ensure all planned maintenance is completed prior to aircraft release from Base Maintenance and support the resolution of any outstanding requirements.
- Coordinate the incorporation of ADs, SBs, EOs and other airworthiness requirements with the Airworthiness Department.
- Provide cross-functional support across the CAMO team and contribute to the continuous improvement of airworthiness processes, procedures and Planning Department efficiency.
The Individual
We're looking for people who can show:
- Good understanding of aircraft maintenance planning and material planning requirements as related to Part CAMO / A8-25 & Part 145 / A8-23.
- Must have high computer literacy skills and be competent with Google Suite applications.
- Knowledge of continuing airworthiness management software for the use of maintenance and materials planning.
- 5 GCSE's Grade C or above or equivalent recognised qualifications (e.g. NVQ, BTEC).
Desirable
- Aviation related degree or equivalent.
- Aviation human factors training undertaken.
- Recognised Part CAMO Training Course accomplished
