Job summary

Advantage Resourcing UK Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Planning Engineer for a contract, site-based role in the Shropshire area. You will coordinate with Maintenance, Airworthiness and other key departments to plan and deliver maintenance efficiently and in compliance with approved programmes.

The successful candidate will have strong CAMO/A8-25 knowledge, be proficient with Google Suite, and hold GCSEs or equivalent; aviation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs grade C or above or equivalent qualifications.
• Good understanding of aircraft maintenance planning and related material planning.
• Knowledge of continuing airworthiness management software.
• Proficient with Google Suite applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Maintenance, Airworthiness, Customer Support and other departments for effective maintenance planning.
• Plan and monitor scheduled maintenance for allocated aircraft per approved programmes.
• Prepare, review and manage maintenance workpacks, variations and forecasts.
• Monitor maintenance status, MIS data and task progress.
• Coordinate material requirements, reservations and purchase requisitions.
• Liaise with owners/operators to optimise schedules and minimise downtime.
• Ensure planned maintenance is completed before release from Base Maintenance.
• Incorporate ADs, SBs and other airworthiness requirements with the Airworthiness Department.
• Support CAMO team and contribute to process improvements.

Maintenance Planning Engineer

Certain Advantage is hiring for a Maintenance Planning Engineer based in the Shropshire area.

This role is on a contract basis and is site-based.

The Company

We're working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and a separate Space and Defence division.

The Role

This role is for a Maintenance Planning Engineer - someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You'll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.

You'll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

• Coordinate with Maintenance, Airworthiness, Customer Support and other key departments to ensure effective maintenance planning and delivery.
• Plan and monitor scheduled maintenance for allocated aircraft, ensuring compliance with approved maintenance programmes and airworthiness requirements.
• Prepare, review and manage maintenance workpacks, variations, forecasts and short-term maintenance requirements.
• Monitor aircraft maintenance status, technical log utilisation and maintenance tasks within the Maintenance Information System (MIS).
• Coordinate material requirements, including reservations and purchase requisitions, to ensure all necessary parts and documentation are available ahead of maintenance inputs.
• Liaise with aircraft owners/operators and internal stakeholders to confirm and optimise maintenance schedules, minimising aircraft downtime.
• Ensure all planned maintenance is completed prior to aircraft release from Base Maintenance and support the resolution of any outstanding requirements.
• Coordinate the incorporation of ADs, SBs, EOs and other airworthiness requirements with the Airworthiness Department.
• Provide cross-functional support across the CAMO team and contribute to the continuous improvement of airworthiness processes, procedures and Planning Department efficiency.

The Individual

We're looking for people who can show:

• Good understanding of aircraft maintenance planning and material planning requirements as related to Part CAMO / A8-25 & Part 145 / A8-23.
• Must have high computer literacy skills and be competent with Google Suite applications.
• Knowledge of continuing airworthiness management software for the use of maintenance and materials planning.
• 5 GCSE's Grade C or above or equivalent recognised qualifications (e.g. NVQ, BTEC).

Desirable

• Aviation related degree or equivalent.
• Aviation human factors training undertaken.
• Recognised Part CAMO Training Course accomplished
