The role:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Manufacturing and Production Planner to plan, coordinate and implement our production demand.
The primary responsibilities include planning and implementing the production requirements of the business.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Composite manufacturing, this is not essential, but a proven track record of hand-built manufacturing would be required.
A sound understanding of production and planning procedures, and the ability to motivate staff to meet production targets.
Key Accountabilities:
Plan, schedule and coordinate all elements of the production planning processDesign and implement production schedules to meet targets and deadlines of the projects teamSet daily department production schedules considering, headcount, available moulds, productive skill level and customer demand.Work with department managers top establish best planning to achieve customer demand in most efficient ways (e.g. batch trimming)Ensure company capacity planner matches the work planned for both sites (work with projects department and report errors into senior project manager)Assist projects team in planning weeks schedule.Drive data driven analysis of job sheets.Work closely with the operations manager to keep up to date and supply all relevant data from trackers.Lead machine shop planning and work with CNC manager to plan to customer demand in the most efficient way.Monitor production adherence to established plans and challenge discrepancies.Compile and present weekly reports to promote a culture of continuous improvement and technological integration to enhance efficiency.to senior project manager and Operations manager to discuss in production meeting.Promote a culture of continuous improvement and system integration to enhance efficiency.Support the achievement of broader site and organizational goals.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Proven work experience as a Manufacturing and Production Manager or similar role.Solid knowledge of production management and manufacturing processes.Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.Experience in reporting on key performance indicators.Proficient in MS Office.Outstanding communication and leadership skills.Attention to detail and problem-solving abilityAbility to work to tight deadlines.Ability to remain calm under pressure.Used to working in a fast-moving environment.FlexibleProblem Solving skills.
