The Production Planner will collaborate with various departments to develop and execute integrated sales and operations plans, ensuring efficient resource utilization, accurate demand forecasting, and timely delivery of products. Responsibilities include analyzing market trends, coordinating production schedules, and aligning strategic objectives to optimize the balance between supply and demand within the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to accurately forecast customer demand, considering historical data, market trends, and other influencing factors.
- Production Planning: Develop and maintain integrated production schedules that align with demand forecasts, production capacities, and inventory targets.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with departments such as sales, production, procurement, and logistics to ensure seamless communication and alignment in the supply chain.
- Resource Allocation: Manage the allocation of resources like manpower, materials, and equipment to meet production and sales targets.
- Data Analysis: Analyze production data, market trends, and relevant metrics to inform decisions and support continuous improvement.
- Communication: Clearly communicate S&O plans, changes, and performance metrics to stakeholders at various levels.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in and contribute to ongoing process improvements, suggesting and implementing enhancements.
- Technology Utilization: Use advanced planning tools, ERP systems, and other technologies to improve planning accuracy and efficiency.
- Customer Collaboration: Work with sales to align production with sales strategies, ensuring customer demand is efficiently met.
- Adaptability: Adjust plans and strategies in response to market conditions, production needs, and business priorities.
- Design Data Management: Support management of design data, manufacturing specifications, and BOMs to ensure accurate information for prototypes and production.
Experience:
Experience in sales and operations planning, demand forecasting, or related roles within manufacturing.
