Job Description:

About Our Client

We are seeking a Production Planner for a permanent position. The successful candidate will use ERP/MRP systems (D365) to ensure efficient shop floor loading and OTIF customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure machines are loaded efficiently, maintaining customer delivery dates.
  • Track all live work orders daily.
  • Produce weekly/monthly forward loading plans for each machine, including manual operations.
  • Ensure parts are moved promptly to the next process.
  • Allocate subcontract orders for purchasing timely.
  • Issue raw materials promptly.
  • Keep BOMs updated with accurate set and cycle times.
  • Correctly issue stocks to work orders.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
  • Monitor KPIs and production performance.
  • Prioritize workflow to meet monthly order and sales targets.
  • Raise purchase requisitions for subcontract operations.
  • Complete administrative tasks within D365.
  • Coordinate with other departments and handle data requests.
  • Adhere to established procedures and participate in training and system updates.
The Successful Applicant
  • Proven experience as a Production Planner in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and process optimization (desirable).
  • Strong problem-solving skills focused on efficiency and quality control.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); D365 experience is a plus but training will be provided.
  • Must be able to commute daily to Westbury and work in-office five days a week.
