Job summary

Streamline Search in Rugby is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join a specialist engineering manufacturer. You will develop production schedules, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and monitor materials to ensure on-time builds.

You'll work within ERP/MRP environments, optimise production efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives. A stable role with growth opportunities in a growing engineering manufacturer.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Production Planning within manufacturing or engineering environments.
  • Experience working with production, fabrication, assembly, or specialist manufacturing would be advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical ability to review data, identify trends, and implement improvements.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP or production planning systems is desirable.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and lean principles is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to support customer demand and ensure manufacturing targets are achieved.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of builds.
  • Monitor material availability and stock levels, working closely with procurement to ensure components are available when required.
  • Plan and prioritise manufacturing activities to maximise efficiency and minimise delays.
  • Communicate with internal departments regarding production progress, delivery timescales, and any potential issues.
  • Prepare production reports, analyse performance data, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing process.
  • Liaise with engineering and production teams regarding equipment maintenance requirements and machine servicing.
  • Maintain accurate production records using internal planning systems.
