Production Planner / Material Planner

Location: Farnborough

Contract Type: Contract (Inside IR35) until End of 2025 possible extension

About the Role

We are seeking a Production Planner / Material Planner to join an innovative aerospace organisation based in Farnborough. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge high-altitude aircraft technology, supporting the production of solar-electric aircraft designed for ultra-long-endurance missions.

In this role, you’ll coordinate and schedule aerospace manufacturing processes, manage inventory and material planning using ERP systems, and collaborate across departments to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with customer demand and resource availability.
• Manage production orders, work orders, and material requisitions using ERP systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material movements to avoid shortages or excess.
• Generate and analyse production reports to track KPIs and forecast future needs.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure materials meet specifications and deadlines are met.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in production/material planning within aerospace or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably D365) and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, FAA regulations).
