Job summary

Nuaire, part of the Genuit Group, invites applications for a production planner based in Caerphilly. You will coordinate production schedules, manage capacity, and liaise with purchasing and sales to ensure timely order fulfillment.

Working hours are 37 per week, Monday to Friday, with early finish on some Fridays. The role is onsite in Caerphilly, with opportunities to optimise processes and drive cost efficiencies across the production floor.

  • Review inventory levels to ensure adequate supply for production and sales.
  • Collaborate with Labour planner on line rates and resolve line issues.
  • Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
  • Support S&OP processes to balance supply and demand.

The Role

Our production teams build our ventilation products to the highest standards, ensuring that Nuaire's reputation for quality, safety and innovation is upheld. Working closely with internal cross-functional teams, we ensure that customer orders are built to schedule, providing them with the excellent products they have come to expect from Nuaire. Reporting to the Labour planner the role is to organise production according to demand and quality standards. The goal is to ensure the smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations. It will involve working with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth coordination of current and new programmed demands and build schedules.

Working hours: 37 hours per week; Monday - Friday 07:00 - 15:00 ( with 2 out of 3 fridays finishing at 13:00). Working style: Onsite, Caerphilly.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate production workflow for multiple products via capacity planning & lead time systems.
  • Maintain production schedules for all assembled manufactured products in line with customer requirements and available capacity and review regularly to maintain efficiency levels and Target OTIF level.
  • Evaluate inventory levels of raw materials, finished goods and personnel to ensure adequate supply for production and customer sales.
  • BOM integration to support material planning activities.
  • Organise production builds to satisfy customer demand & avoid productivity stoppage.
  • Regular liaison with Labour planner regarding line running rates and any potential line problems, reviewing production reports, monitor reasons for variance, and advise Labour planner of the effects.
  • Investigate all large schedule fluctuations, liaise with sales to ascertain reasons while keep Labour planner informed evaluating the costs where necessary.
  • Ensure adequate checks exist regarding the availability of parts for build avoiding supply shortages.
  • Obtain purchased part/material rescheduling requirements with relevant buyer and confirm delivery dates.
  • Keep up to date with supplier performance and discuss with Purchasing Team Leader on a weekly basis.
  • Monitor finished goods stock levels maintaining inventory policies in line with agreed KPI's.
  • Investigate and resolve purchased part/material stock and delivery queries with relevant departments.
  • Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
  • Collaborate with production teams, purchasing and sales to ensure timely completion of orders/quotes.
  • Proactively help to resolve customer product concerns by root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions, ensuring team buy-in to changes.
  • Analyse data and make recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Actively take part in S&OP process, to balance supply and demand, optimising resource to achieve strategic goals.

  • Enthusiastic about the team and able to anticipate issues and problem solve in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Organised and results driven with great problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and systems.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment, providing input and feedback in a helpful manner.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.
  • A good standard of English literacy and Mathematics (GCSE or equivalent).
  • Technical knowledge of ventilation products would be advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Candidates well versed in production procedures and ways to optimise them are urged to apply.
