Job summary

Balmoral Comtec Limited in Aberdeen is seeking a Production Operator (Stores) to support efficient production by receiving, inspecting, storing and issuing materials, and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will monitor stock levels, expedite outstanding orders, conduct cycle counts, and keep a safe, organized stores environment, contributing to uninterrupted production and timely dispatch.

Qualifications

• Good standard of education (required).
• Previous stores or stock management experience (required).
• Forklift truck experience (preferred but not essential).
• Computer literate.
• Able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming goods, verifying deliveries against purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and investigate stock variances.
• Manage minimum and maximum stock levels to ensure uninterrupted production and timely dispatch of completed jobs.
• Pick, issue, and prepare materials from production requirements and packing lists to support assembly activities.
• Expedite outstanding purchase orders and follow up on overdue deliveries with suppliers.
• Conduct routine cycle counts and stock audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient stores environment, including loading and unloading materials as required.

• The Production Operator (Stores) supports efficient production operations by receiving, inspecting, storing and issuing materials. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring materials are available to support production schedules.
