Job summary

IPS Adhesives is seeking a Factory Operator to join a fast-paced production team in North Shields. You will participate in the full manufacturing process, from preparing materials to final packaging, while upholding safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

In this hands-on role, you will learn to operate high-speed production equipment, stage materials, perform basic quality checks, and support continuous improvement initiatives within a collaborative environment.

• Good verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal customers.

• Ability to work independently and to carry out batch processing to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely carry out production activities in line with company Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.
• Assess tasks for potential risks and follow appropriate control measures.
• Prepare and stage raw materials ready for production.
• Operate manufacturing equipment, including high-speed dispersers and other production machinery.
• Monitor production processes to ensure products are manufactured efficiently and to specification.
• Perform basic quality control testing using established procedures.
