Job summary

Eaton Group is seeking a Production Operator to join its IS AER MSD division in Weymouth. You will perform mechanical and PCB assembly, wiring and hand fit tasks, and ensure production documentation is completed to quality standards.

You will work to customer drawings, follow process notes, and maintain a clean shop floor under ESD and health & safety rules, with occasional additional tasks within certified capabilities.

Qualifications

• Good attention to detail and dexterity required.
• Ability to follow process notes accurately.
• Experience in electronics and working in an ESD controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out production build tasks including mechanical, PCB, wiring, and assembly.
• Build to customer drawings and production process notes; complete required production documentation.
• Keep the shop floor neat and tidy following 6s and ESD procedures.
• Support health and safety practices and participate in additional tasks as trained.

Job description

Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Production Operator.

Working within a Production Team and reporting to a Production Supervisor. The Production Operator will be required to carry out production tasks associated with the manufacturing process. Ensuring that the product is manufactured in the most cost-effective way and to the required quality standards whilst maintaining customer delivery dates.

What you’ll do:

Production build tasks will include:

• Mechanical assembly
• Conventional PCB assembly
• Surface mount hand fit assembly
• Wiring and/or cable assembly
• PCB cleaning (manual & automated)
• Component preparation
• Self inspection
• Packing product

You will be building product in accordance with Customer drawings, using the Production process notes as an aid to manufacturing, and completing Production documentation with required information as instructed and as per quality standards.

Ensure the shop floor is kept neat and tidy at all times, in accordance with FOD and 6s procedures.

Monitor and comply with Company Procedures, including ESD and Health and Safety practices.

From time to time you may be requested to carry out other tasks. These tasks will be within your certified capabilities or carried out with training or supervision.
