Job description

As a vital part of Eaton's Aerospace division, our Bedhampton site plays a key role in manufacturing and testing hydraulic components that help keep aircraft operating safely and efficiently. With a team of around 140 employees, the facility supports world-renowned customers including Airbus, Boeing, Collins Aerospace, Leonardo and Moog, while contributing to some of the aerospace industry's most advanced programmes.

What you’ll do:

The Production Scheduler is responsible for creating, sequencing, and executing the rolling 4-week production schedule to support the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and customer priorities. The role focuses on short-term planning, work order readiness, past due recovery, and production execution. Working closely with Operations, Materials, Stores, Quality, and Network Schedulers, the Production Scheduler ensures schedule adherence, data accuracy, and efficient production flow.

Key Job Activities:
  • Short-Term Production Scheduling & Execution
  • Create and manage the 1-2 week finite production schedule based on demand, material availability, and inventory targets.
  • Align all schedules with the MPS.
  • Release work orders that are clear to release, ensuring material and documentation readiness.
  • Re-sequence or re-route work orders to minimise constraints and maintain MPS alignment.
  • Monitor and manage WIFOL (Work in Front of Line) to prevent bottlenecks.
  • Review and reschedule due and past-due work orders daily (WOOTD).
  • Determine and communicate labour and workstation loading requirements.
Past Due, Recovery & Escalation Management
  • Drive recovery of past-due orders through expediting, reprioritisation, and schedule adjustments.
  • Plan recovery actions for production delays and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
  • Escalate issues to the Network Scheduler when MPS commitments are at risk.
  • Attend daily Assembly and SCM (A&T) Tier 2 meetings, reporting schedule adherence, risks, and actions.
Work Order, WIP & Material Coordination
  • Reconcile WIP shortages and coordinate resolution with Stores, Procurement, and Quality.
  • Process suspect or non-conforming materials into MRB (Material Review Board).
  • Review Line of Balance (LOB) to maintain visibility of production progress.
  • Reconcile completed but not closed work orders to support inventory and financial accuracy.
Performance Tracking & Schedule Adherence
  • Create and review schedule adherence metrics, driving improvement actions with Operations.
  • Monitor daily and weekly production performance, adjusting schedules as required.
  • Support Production Operations Reviews with updates on risks, deviations, and recovery plans.
Data Accuracy & ERP Governance
  • Maintain ERP integrity, including planning parameters, routings, lead times, and work centre structures.
  • Ensure manufacturing lead times reflect operational capability.
  • Identify and correct transactional errors to maintain accurate planning signals.
  • Partner with Quality and Materials teams to maintain BOM accuracy and component availability.
Indirect Purchasing
  • Manage procurement of indirect materials, equipment, and services
Qualifications:
  • A degree or supply chain qualification is not required but would be preffered.
Skills:
  • Experience in production control, scheduling, or shop floor coordination.
  • Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and production workflows.
  • Ability to manage constraints, adjust schedules rapidly, and collaborate across functions.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
