Job summary

Atkore is recruiting a Production Operative for our West Bromwich site to support the Atkore product range and drive manufacturing excellence.

You will operate break presses, inspect parts, maintain records, and uphold 5S while contributing to continuous improvement and health & safety adherence.

Hours are 39 per week on rotating shifts, with a base rate of £12.71 per hour plus a 22% shift allowance, reflecting the shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of production equipment and operating machinery.
• Ability to work in a team and also independently.
• Motivation to meet targets safely and to required quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate break press and produce to required rate.
• Inspect incoming/outgoing parts and materials.

Who we are looking for

Unistrut is looking for an experienced Production Operative to support our continued growth within the Atkore product range.

What you’ll do

• Operate break press
• Produce at the required rate and take action where required to achieve that rate
• Take responsibility for inspection of incoming and outgoing parts and materials
• Keep production and quality related records up to date
• Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area
• Be involved in continuous improvement processes driving through improvements in all aspects of the role
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed
• Performs Other Duties as Assigned

Hours of work

39 hours per week, working a rotating shift pattern:

Week 1: Monday - Thursday 6am - 2pm & Friday 6am - 1pm

Week 2: Monday - Thursday 2pm -10pm & Friday 1pm - 8pm

Salary

£12.71 per hour plus 22% shift allowance for rotating shifts
