James Cropper Advanced Materials is seeking motivated and reliable Production Operatives to join our growing team in Launceston. You will operate coating machinery, support quality checks, handle chemicals safely, follow procedures, and contribute to a safe, efficient workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Pride in producing high quality work.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Able to follow written procedures and work instructions.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.
• Willing to learn new processes and systems.
• Able to perform manual handling as part of the role.
• Experience in chemical-processing or industrial manufacturing would be advantageous.
• Fork Lift Truck/Counterbalance licence would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle and weigh chemicals safely using PPE.

• Carry out basic equipment maintenance and housekeeping tasks.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Production Operative, you’ll play a key role in producing high-quality materials that meet exact customer specifications. You will:

• Operate and monitor specialist coating machinery
• Support quality checks, testing, packing and dispatch activities
• Handle and weigh chemicals safely using appropriate PPE
• Follow detailed production procedures and quality standards
• Carry out basic equipment maintenance and housekeeping tasks
• Receive and record deliveries
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets
• Contribute to a safe, efficient, and positive working environment

This is a Mon - Fri role working shifts on 6am-2pm / 2pm - 10pm on rotation
