Cranswick PLC is seeking Production Operatives for High Risk A and B days with 4 on 4 off shifts in Hessle, UK. You will operate machinery, follow GMP, and contribute to meeting production targets while maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards.

You will join a team focused on quality, safety, and efficiency, with opportunities to learn and advance through training in L2 Food Safety and L2 Health & Safety. This role requires reliable teamwork and proactive problem solving.

Formación

• Experience in a production environment preferred.
• Willingness to undertake L2 Food Safety training.
• Understanding of risk assessments and safe working procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Arrive 15 minutes before shift to start slicing.
• Operate just-in-time process to minimise downtime.
• Ensure log conditioning meets standard before loading.
• Maintain Food Safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Follow GMP: hand washing, PPE, procedures, clean as you go.
• Comply with hygiene standards; operate only trained equipment.
• Adhere to quality standards and SOPs.
• Achieve production plan; participate in multi-skilling via rotation.
• Support other areas; complete paperwork accurately; mentor new colleagues.
• Maintain conduct, timekeeping and absence reporting; handle requests.

PRODUCTION OPERATIVES High Risk Aand Bdays- 4 on 4 off Shifts

Job Purpose:

Take responsibility for the operation of the machinery whilst working as part of a production team in the manufacture of products that exceed customer expectations whilst adhering to all required standards, meeting, and exceeding quality standards, achieving targets on time and in full, within budget behaving in a safe manner, ensuring Food Safety and maintaining hygiene standards.

Main Duties

• Arrive at workstation to commence slicing 15 minutes before start of shift
• Operate just in time process ensuring material is available to minimise changeovers and downtime
• Ensure log conditioning is to the correct standard prior to loading machine; including facing up of the logs.
• Maintain and adhere to Food Safety standards at all times
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices such as :
• Hand washing, Support other areas of manufacturing when directed
• PPE requirement, Changing procedures ,Clean as you go
• Comply with all hygiene standards, Only operate equipment, machinery, and tools where training has been provided
• Adhere to all quality standards
• Follow all Standard Operating procedures
• Achieve the production plan
• Participate in multiskilling through job rotation
• Support other areas of manufacturing when directed, Complete paperwork accurately and at time of checks, Provide support and mentoring to new colleagues
• Always maintain standards of conduct and performance in the workplace including time keeping and following absence reporting procedure
• Any other reasonable request

Requirements, Experience and Person Specification:

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Successful completion or willing to undertake training in L2 Food Safety and L2 Health and Safety Principles
• Group and site induction.
• Understanding of relevant risk assessments and trained as competent to safe working procedures
• Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting
• Mechanical aptitude, Forward thinking and planning skills, Reliable
• Ability to work within a team, Attention to detail and Meets QVIP values
