Katmex Ltd. is hiring a Production Operative (Warehouse Operative) in Stockton-on-Tees. The role includes forklift duties, stock control, and daily operation checks in a precision fabrication environment.

You will join a team led by the Primary Supervisor and have opportunities to learn and grow, with a focus on safety and quality in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a warehouse is essential.
• Must have a valid forklift licence and provide certificates.
• Comprehensive training provided on commencing employment.

Responsibilities

• Follow customer work schedules.
• Perform forklift duties and safe handling of goods.
• Complete daily operation, TPM and pre-operation checks.
• Stock control including picking, packing and sorting.
• Inspect equipment for safe working condition and perform stock auditing.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Production Operative (Warehouse Operative)

Starting Salary: £12.71 – £14.43 per hour (+ shift allowance)
Hours: 37 hours per week (3 weekly shift rotation: day shift, back shift and night shift)
Location: Stockton-on-Tees, TS20 2BH.
Contract Type: Full-time, permanent.

Summary

We are looking for a skilled Production Operative (Warehouse Operative) and forklift driver to work within a highly skilled dynamic environment in the precision fabrication and multi-plate processing industry. The Production Operative will work alongside the Primary Supervisor and the wider Katmex team working together to support daily production operations. Job role

• Following customer work schedules.
• Forklift duties.
• Completion of daily operation, TPM (total preventative/ production maintenance) and pre-operation check sheets.
• Stock control (picking, packing sorting etc.)
• Inspect all equipment to ensure it’s in a safe working condition.
• Stock auditing.
• Other adhoc duties as requested by your line manager. However, you will be given duties in respect of your abilities, skill-set and organisational structure. The Company will not ask you to complete tasks that are outside the scope of your capablities.

Qualifications and experience

• Previous experience working in a warehouse is essential.
• Must have a valid forklift licence and provide certificates.
• Previous experience working within the manufacturing sector is beneficial but not essential.
• You are also given comprehensive training once you commence employment.
