Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting for a Production Operative Supervisor to lead the night-shift team at a busy site in Dudley. The role is temp-to-perm with duties including supervising production, monitoring machinery, and ensuring safe, efficient operation through the night.

The ideal candidate will have leadership or supervisory experience, FLT qualifications, and hands-on mechanical knowledge to keep production targets and quality standards on track in a recycling/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Production Operative Supervisor – Night Shift

Location: Dudley
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00pm – 6:00am
Shift: Night Shift
Contract: Temp to Perm
Salary: £16ph to £17ph (DOE)

Production Operative Supervisor – Nights

We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative Supervisor to join our clients busy night-shift team on a temp-to-perm basis.

You will be responsible for supervising the production team and helping to ensure the smooth, safe and efficient running of the factory throughout the night.

Our clients production facility operates a range of industrial machinery, including:

• Shredders
• Extruders
• Colour sorters
• Metal recovery lines
• Other specialist recycling machinery

The Role

As a Production Operative Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and supporting the night-shift production team
• Monitoring production and machinery
• Operating production machinery when required
• Identifying and resolving production issues
• Carrying out basic troubleshooting
• Making decisions to keep production running efficiently
• Supporting health & safety procedures
• Ensuring production targets and quality standards are maintained
• Operating an FLT and moving materials safely
• Reporting machinery faults and other issues to management
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience
• FLT experience and ideally a valid FLT licence
• Experience operating industrial or production machinery
• Some mechanical knowledge and an understanding of machinery
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• A hands-on approach to work
• Good communication and team leadership skills
• The ability to work independently and take responsibility

Previous experience within manufacturing, recycling, production or a similar industrial environment would be advantageous.
