Job summary

DS Smith is hiring an experienced Production Operative for its Louth site. The role is initially temporary, with a 42-hour week across days and nights, and paid breaks. The position requires reliability, proactivity and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will operate and maintain production machinery, ensure hygiene and safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvement. A driving licence and willingness to work the offered shift pattern are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years manufacturing/production experience.
• Driving licence and access to own vehicle due to shift pattern.
• Ability to work all elements of the shift pattern.
• Manual handling including lifting and bending.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production machinery.
• Maintain high hygiene and housekeeping standards per BRC.
• Monitor product quality to meet standards.
• Follow maintenance schedules and report issues in SAP.
• Complete training and safety documents.
• Adhere to health & safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with teammates and support continuous improvement.
