Job summary

Acorn Stairlifts UK in Steeton, West Yorkshire, seeks a Production Operative for the Returns team at Head Office. You will ensure stock returns are correctly recorded and processed in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers an hourly rate of £12.95 plus shift bonus, with Monday to Friday, 14:00–22:30 shifts. Induction, training, and onsite facilities are provided to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role would be advantageous but not essential.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to display Acorn values and work to high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Check stock return statuses on the system to ensure correct stock has been assigned.
• Make outbound calls to stock return system users to clarify missing/incorrect information.
• Investigate stock return discrepancies on customer accounts.
• Correct incorrect returns on the system to ensure accuracy.
• Process stock returns physically and systematically.
• Chase outstanding returns with relevant departments.
• Provide feedback to Manager and assist with stock movements as needed.
• Offer telephone support to stock return system users.
• Assist with stock takes for leavers and QC department.
• Leverage strong transport links and parking provisions to support operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all stock returns which have been created on the system are accurate in order to be processed in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
