Job summary

Acorn Stairlifts UK in Steeton, West Yorkshire, is hiring a Production Operative for the Picking Team. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

The role focuses on picking stairlift components, packing orders, and maintaining tidy work areas, with opportunities to assist other departments during busy periods. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-focused, and able to work well independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Pick various stairlift components using a work sheet.
• Bubble wrap and pack orders ensuring they can be identified by the order number.
• Work alone and in teams at busy times to ensure all orders are picked correctly and in line with department KPI’s.
• Ensure all areas are kept clutter free and all shelving and parts are kept neat and tidy.
• Be prepared to help out within other departments within the factory as and when required.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience in a similar role would be advantageous but not essential
