Job summary

Müller’s UK Manufacturing Operation in Market Drayton is seeking a Part-time Trainee Technical Operator for the Filling department. You will join a structured shift pattern (2 on / 6 off) covering days and nights, with a focus on producing high-quality products safely and efficiently.

You will operate machinery, support health and safety, and contribute to meeting line targets while maintaining hygiene and participating in basic maintenance.

Qualifications

• Relevant food manufacturing qualification/experience would be advantageous.
• Basic Food Hygiene certification preferred.
• Health & Safety knowledge/training required.
• Mechanical Handling Equipment experience is beneficial.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing machinery in accordance with procedures.
• Adhere to Health & Safety guidelines at all times.
• Assist employer in fulfilling statutory duties.
• Meet operational line and plant targets.
• Meet individual performance targets.
• Minimise machine downtime and maintain equipment.
• Maintain hygienic production environment and housekeeping.
• Perform basic routine maintenance with mechanical aptitude.
• Escalate faults promptly for timely corrective action.
• Demonstrate flexible approach to work arrangements.

We are currently recruiting for a Part time Trainee Technical Operator to join our Filling department at our Market Drayton site. You’ll be part of Müller’s UK Manufacturing Operation, helping us produce high-quality products efficiently, safely, and to specification.

Shift Pattern: 2 on / 6 off (Days & Nights)
Location: Market Drayton
Salary: £15,539.49

Your Responsibilities

• Operating manufacturing machinery in accordance to procedures.
• A proactive approach to all matters concerning Health & Safety
• Ability to co-operate with the employer in assisting them to fulfil their statutory duties
• Meeting operational line / plant targets / waste targets
• Meeting Individual targets
• Minimising machine / plant down time
• Maintaining the hygienic standards of the production environment and general housekeeping of the working area
• Carrying out of basic routine maintenance (mechanical aptitude is essential)
• Striving to achieve the highest quality product, highlighting any concerns to your manager
• Prompt fault finding and timely corrective action or escalation.
• Having a flexible approach to your work arrangements
