Job summary

Avara Foods is hiring a Production Operative for the Butchery Team at Hollybank Site, Scropton, Derbyshire. This part-time role runs 1 day per week with on-site shifts starting at 06:00 and finishing around 15:00, minimum 7 hours per shift.

You will trim, prepare and pack turkey portions, weighing, labelling and ensuring product quality to customer standards. Full training will be provided; knife/butchery experience is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Good level of English and basic numeracy skills.
• Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
• Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks.
• Previous knife/butchery skills would be advantageous.
• Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided

About the Role:

Working Hours

Tuesday, 06:00 – Finish.

Finish times are usually around 15:00 but can vary due to production plans.

Minimum 7 hours pay per shift.

About the role:

As Production Operative you’ll be part of the Butchery Team, checking, preparing and packing Turkey portions, products and whole birds. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf life products where hygiene standards are critical.
