Job summary

Stannah Group is seeking a Production Operative in Andover to join the Manufacturing Department on a permanent contract. You will fabricate sheet metal components and welded assemblies from detailed drawings, working across cutting, bending, welding and inspection processes.

Role requires experience in manufacturing or fabrication and ability to read drawings; weld inspection and continuous improvement experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate sheet metal components and welded assemblies per drawings and quality standards.

• Support productivity, continuous improvement and new product introductions within the department.
• Maintain operational flexibility, including machine utilisation, housekeeping and autonomous maintenance.

Job Description

Production Operative Job - Andover

Stannah have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative to join the Manufacturing Department based at Watt Close, Andover.

This role involves the fabrication of sheet metal components and welded assemblies to detailed engineering drawings, working across cutting cells, pre-fabrication, bending, robotic and manual welding, as well as weld inspection.

As the Production Operative, you will work Monday to Wednesday 14:00 to 00:00, Thursday 14:00 to 23:00, you will receive a 15% shift allowance due to these hours. This role is offered on a permanent contract.

To be successful as the Production Operative it is essential that you have previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment and can interpret engineering drawings. Experience in weld inspection and continuous improvement would be desirable.
