Job summary

Fresh Direct in Bicester is seeking a Production Operative to help ensure freshly prepared products are delivered on time. You will work in a temperature-controlled environment, handle and prepare meat and fish products, and contribute to quality, legality and safety throughout the production line.

The role requires teamwork, ability to learn quickly, and willingness to work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Competitive salary, 31 days leave, pension and access to employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food production environment or knowledge of basic food safety would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products manufactured are handled and managed to the production schedule.
• Receive goods, maintain stock rotation and manage inventory.
• Conform to quality, legality and safety requirements and meet deadlines.
• Work in a temperature-controlled (chilled) environment and be on your feet most of the day.

As aProduction Operativein our Bicester depot, you’ll play an important part ensuring our freshly prepared products are delivered on time to meet our customer demands.

Your role is to ensure that products manufactured at Fresh Kitchen are handled and managed to the agreed production schedule and that they comply with specific customer requirement with key focus on product quality, legality and safety and overall presentation of product to the customer. In addition, key areas of responsibility include receiving goods in, maintaining good stock rotation/management and working towards targets and deadlines.

To join us as a Production Operative, you’ll be comfortable working in a temperature controlled (chilled) environment – don’t worry we’ll give uniform to keep you warm! You will be handling and preparing various food products including meat and fish and spend most of the day on your feet. Experience in a food production environment or knowledge of basic food safety would be an advantage, but your ability to learn and be part of the team is more important.
