Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting seasonal day/night production staff for a market leading client in rural West Sussex. The position runs from mid-September for three weeks and requires helping in warehouse operations, including crate handling, pallet washing, and on-line packing tasks.

Shifts are days 09:30–20:00 and nights 20:00–05:30, seven days a week. The role offers hands-on experience in a production environment and requires compliance with health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Physically able to perform warehouse tasks.
• Willingness to work day or night shifts.
• Available for a 3-week assignment.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve cleaned picking crates and stack for reuse.
• Assist weighbridge operator with weighing goods and pallets.
• Operate on the press-loading line to remove leaves and material from crates.
• Wash pallets and clean grape receival area as required.
• Report incidents and comply with SOPs and health & safety rules.

The Best Connection are currently recruiting seasonal day/night production staff for a market leading client in their field, in rural West Sussex.

This is a very exciting position, commencing from the middle of September, for a period of 3 weeks!

Overall Purpose:

• To assist in general work operations in the warehouse and forecourt including cleaning and stacking away of picking crates, cleaning pallets and general tidying of the work area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Retrieve cleaned picking crates as they emerge from the crate washer and stack them in the designated area, ready for re-use
• Assist weighbridge operator with weighing of goods and pallets
• Work on the press-loading production line to remove leaves and other material from picking crates.
• Wash pallets using hose or pallet washer once they are emptied during press loading.
• Hose down and clean grape receival area as required

Other Tasks:

• Report all incidents or broken equipment immediately to Shift manager
• Compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures and health and safety rules.

General Tasks:

• To maintain a safe, clean and tidy work environment at all times
• To only operate any machinery or equipment after training and approval by the Shift Manager.

Working Hours:

• Days (09:30 to 20:00, Monday to Sunday)
• Nights (20:00 to 05:30, Monday to Sunday)
