Smurfit Westrock in Northampton is seeking a Production Operative to join the Corrugator Production Team on a 3-shift rotating pattern. The role focuses on operating machinery, maintaining safety and quality, and supporting continuous output improvements.

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for an Operativeto join the Corrugator Production Team, working a 3-shift rotating pattern. We are looking for a highly motivated, focused and driven individual who can demonstrate a positive can-do attitude together with excellent organisation skills. It is expected that the successful applicant will be a strong communicator with ability to support continuous drive for increased production output and reduced wastage.

Previous experience within a manufacturing process operation is preferred, but full training will be provided. It is expected that Production Operatives will be able to train in multiple areas providing a multi skilled and flexible team.

The shift pattern consists of: Week One - 2pm to 10pm, Week Two - 6am to 2pm and Week Three - 10pm to 6am.

The key responsibilities will include:

• Operating machines within production
• General manual handling
• Basic computer tasks
• Understanding as well as appreciation of both Health & Safety and Quality

The ideal candidate will be:

• Minimum Grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Able to prioritise workload to achieve deadlines
• A good team player able to work as part of a crew and on their own
• Self-motivated
• Have good attention to detail
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
