Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is seeking a Machine/Production Operative for a full-time position in Yate. The role runs Monday to Thursday from 14:00 to 22:00 and Friday from 14:00 to 19:00 in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

You will stack pallets, check quality, wrap and label crates, and operate PPTs and scanners, contributing to smooth packing desk operations and overall safety.

Qualifications

• Warehouse/packing experience preferred.
• Able to operate pallet trucks and scanners safely.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Stack pallets with boxes from the packing belt, ensuring product consistency and safe stacking.
• Check the quality of boxes on full pallets and apply correct wrapping to secure products for safe transportation.
• Verify and attach accurate pallet labels, double-checking the work of colleagues to maintain accuracy.
• Operate Powered Pallet Truck (PPT), hand pallet truck, hand scanners, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor metal detection systems for malfunctions, including completing near-miss forms if issues are observed.
• Supply the Packing Desk area with new pallets to ensure smooth and continuous operations.
• Follow company policies and procedures to support the effective running of the Packing Desk.
• Maintain a clean and tidy Packing Desk area to promote a safe working environment.
• Perform additional duties as required to meet business needs.
