Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting Production Operatives for an immediate start on BACK SHIFT (2pm-10pm) starting 09/01, with the role moving onto DAY SHIFT (6am - 2pm) Monday-Friday from the following week for our client based in Darlington.

Responsibilities

• Operate injection moulding machines (40-800 tonnes).
• Load and unload materials and finished products.
• Carry out visual and basic dimensional quality checks.
• Prepare products for dispatch and complete production records.
• Basic machine start-up, shutdown and routine maintenance.
• Identify and report faults or quality issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized working environment.
• Follow all company and health & safety procedures.
• Assist with tool changes and machine setups when required.

Immediate Start Back Shift 09/01

Production Operatives Required - Darlington

The Best Connection are recruiting Production Operatives for an immediate start on BACK SHIFT (2pm-10pm) starting 09/01, with the role moving onto DAY SHIFT (6am - 2pm) Monday-Friday from the following week for our client based in Darlington.

The Role - Production Operative

As a Production Operative, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating injection moulding machines (40-800 tonnes)
• Loading and unloading materials and finished products
• Carrying out visual and basic dimensional quality checks
• Preparing products for dispatch and completing production records
• Basic machine start-up, shutdown and routine maintenance
• Identifying and reporting faults or quality issues
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Following all company and health & safety procedures
• Assisting with tool changes and machine setups when required

The Candidate

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Detail-focused and take pride in their work
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Reliable, punctual and eager to learn
• Strong team players in a fast-paced environment
• Positive, flexible and adaptable

Experience:

• Production, manufacturing, injection moulding or FLT experience beneficial but not essential
• FLT Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck experience advantageous
• Entry-level applicants encouraged to apply

Hours & Pay

• £12.21 per hour
• Immediate Start:
  • Back Shift: 2pm - 10pm (starting 09/01)
• From the Following Week:
  • Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 6am - 2pm
• Night Shift (as part of rotation):
  • 10pm - 6am
• No Saturday or Sunday daytime work - excellent work/life balance
