Job summary

Magnet in Darlington is seeking a motivated Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. You will operate machinery, assemble components, inspect quality, and support packing and production processes in a fast-paced environment with comprehensive training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or production is beneficial but full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production machinery following safety guidelines.
  • Assemble components or parts per instructions or blueprints.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality and specifications.
  • Handle materials safely and efficiently throughout production.
  • Package finished products for storage or shipment.
  • Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe.
  • Complete production logs and other documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
  • Identify issues in the production process and report them.

Role: Production Operative

Reports to: Production Lead

Location: Darlington

Salary: £25,875.02

We are looking for a motivated Production Operative to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will operate machinery, assemble components, check product quality, and support packing and production processes while maintaining a safe and organised workspace. What You’ll Be Doing
  • Operate and monitor production machinery according to established procedures and safety guidelines
  • Assemble components or parts according to specific instructions or blueprints
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
  • Handle raw materials, components, and finished products safely and efficiently
  • Package finished products appropriately for storage or shipment
  • Clean and maintain work areas, machinery, and equipment to ensure a safe and organised workspace
  • Complete production logs, reports, and other documentation as required
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Follow all standard operating procedures, ensuring company and health and safety policy is adhered to too
  • Identify and report any issues or abnormalities in the production process, assisting in troubleshooting and resolving problems where needed
