Job summary

Humdinger Ltd in Sherburn in Elmet is seeking Production Operatives for multiple roles within a fast-paced confectionery production facility. You will follow recipes, weigh ingredients and work to precise measurements, ensuring safety, quality and compliance across UK operations.

The role offers 4 on/4 off shifts (0600-1800) with starting pay at £15.08 per hour, potential overtime at 150% and progression to £16.08 per hour, with interviews on 16 September 2026 and multiple inductions in

• Monitor equipment performance and report issues promptly.
• Follow recipes, production plans and process controls accurately.
• Complete quality, food safety and CCP checks.
• Handle raw materials and production ingredients safely.
• Complete cleaning and hygiene tasks to required standards.
• Maintain accurate production and traceability records.
• Support continuous improvement activities within your area.

Production Operative (Multiple roles available)

Humdinger Ltd, Sherburn in Elmet, LS25

As a Production Operative, you'll play a key role in creating the confectionery products that reach customers across the UK. You'll work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

This role would suit someone with experience in a bakery, food production, or similar environment and a keen eye for detail when following recipes, weighing ingredients, and working to precise measurements and processes.

Shift pattern

Monday - Sunday, 4 on 4 off, 0600 - 1800

Pay rate

Starting rate £15.08 per hour with the potential of overtime at 150% and progressing to Grade 3 at £16.08 per hour.

Interviews Interview & Factory Tour, Wednesday 16th September 2026, 1pm - 3pm - If you cannot attend, we may accommodate another date.

Multiple inductions running throughout September.

Desirable

• Food manufacturing experience.
• Food Safety Level 2 qualification.
• Health & Safety qualification.
• Experience supporting or coaching colleagues.
• Earning potential of up to £16.08 per hour with further training as a higher skilled operative.
• Paid breaks and overtime rates at minimum of time and a half of basic rate.
• Holiday entitlement 236 hours.
