Job summary

Ibstock Plc is recruiting a Production Operative for the Anstone factory in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The role involves 42 hours per week with 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am shifts in a 4 days on/4 days off rotating pattern.

You will operate concrete block presses or related machinery and maintain safety, quality and efficiency. The position requires hands-on operation, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of the role and hands-on cleaning of machinery and plant.
• Operate and prioritise workload; assist with production when required.
• Use and maintain 5S housekeeping and environmental standards.
• Assist in development of SSOPs and risk assessments.
• Adhere to health & safety, quality and environmental systems.
• Operate mobile plant as required.

42 Hours per week - 6am-6pm / 6pm-6amShift pattern - 4 days on. 4 days off. Rotating between days and nights

Key responsibilities:

• Ability to take ownership of the role
• Hands on Cleaning of machinery and plant
• Ability to rotor and prioritise your own workload
• Operation of mobile plant as required
• Greasing and oiling of production plant
• Adhering to health & safety, quality and environmental systems
• To deliver through the process improvement initiatives and continuous improvement
• Assist with production when required
• Creating and maintaining the highest standards of 5S’s housekeeping and environmental management
• Assist in the development of SSOP’s and Risk Assessments

Desirable qualifications & experience:

• Experience of working in a continuous improvement environment.
• A certified counterbalance FLT driver is advantageous.
• Experience with a concrete block press or machine setting background
