People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join our well-established client based in Southport, Merseyside.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £13.82 per hour, ongoing work and overtime opportunities.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as a Semi-Skilled Production Operative, Assembly Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Machine Operative or Injection Moulding Operative.

Shifts

• Monday to Thursday, 08:00-16:30
• Friday, 08:00-13:00

Rates of Pay

• £13.82 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Production Operative, your duties will include:

• Assembling tools and components
• Positively contributing to daily Comm Cells
• Working to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Working safely and following all appropriate health and safety guidance
• Reporting any incidents, hazards or unsafe behaviour to your line manager immediately
• Conducting quality checks on finished products

Essential Skills

• Good manual dexterity
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Previous assembly or production experience
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs and engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and a responsible approach to work

Desirable Skills

• Experience in electro-mechanical assembly
• Experience in soldering small through-hole components

Training Provided

• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
