Production Operative Positions at a Leading Manufacturer in Thame, Oxfordshire

A leading manufacturer in Thame, Oxfordshire is looking for 2 x Production Operatives to join a growing, established team due to company expansion. These are permanent positions.

The working hours are:

• 6am – 2.30pm, Monday to Thursday
• 5 hours on Friday, 6am – 11am

The salary is £23,000 per year. There is also a later shift option:

• 2.30pm – 11pm, £26,000 per year

Full training will be provided. The role involves working in various areas such as component manufacturing, product assembly, wiring, and testing to meet delivery requirements.

• Carry out component manufacturing and product assembly according to build instructions, drawings, BOMs, or related documents.
• Ensure all activities meet quality and applicable standards.
• Set up manufacturing equipment, including EHRT, plating line, and power presses, to ensure efficient operation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment, following safe working practices.
• Store components and products tidily and ensure correct identification.
• Maintain accurate production and product records.
• Liaise with Team Leaders to keep stock levels updated.
• Ensure machinery operates efficiently, maximizing use of materials, resources, and time.
• Perform maintenance on machinery as required by TPM programs.
• Report any plant or equipment issues to the Production Manager.
• Participate in team activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Suggest improvements for efficiency and safety to the Team Leader or Line Manager.
• Identify manufacturing problems and collaborate on solutions.

Previous experience in production, assembly, wiring, or machinery is essential, or a strong work history with a desire for a career change. Candidates should be able to multitask, work from drawings, and have problem-solving skills to identify root causes and suggest solutions.
