ESS Employment Ltd are looking for a Food Production Operative to work for our client in Nailsworth. As a Kitchen Operative, you will be working in a clean room environment handling food products. Your responsibilities will include weighing products, mixing, using catering equipment, and packing in a state-of-the-art unit. Full training will be provided, and we are seeking enthusiastic team players to join our client's growing team.

Location: Stroud

Daily hours: Mon – Thurs 08:00–16:30, Fri 08:00–15:30

Start date: Immediate

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Contract: 3-month contract with the potential to go permanent

Responsibilities

1. Hygiene operations (cleaning of equipment, waste management)
2. Food handling and preparation
3. Keeping the work area clean and tidy
4. Work within cold storage areas as required
5. Adhering to all site rules following induction
6. Wearing PPE and clean room items at all times, including disposable hair net, beard net if required, coat, gloves, and disposable covers for trainers and shoes
7. Being fit and active, able to lift up to 25kg occasionally
8. Demonstrating enthusiasm and willingness to learn
9. Understanding standards to minimize food safety risks, including temperature control and cross-contamination
10. Completing traceability paperwork

1. Weighing vegetables, herbs, and spices
2. Mixing and blending duties
3. Picking, packing, and dispatching products
4. Preparing boxes for delivery
5. Preparing bags for delivery
6. General production duties
