Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Production Operative for a joinery manufacturing environment. You will work as part of a busy team to cut, shape and finish timber products from raw materials to finished goods.

The role offers a four-day week, 6:00am–4:30pm, £12.75 per hour, and hands-on training to develop joinery skills while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Operate tools and machinery to cut, shape, assemble and finish timber products.
• Work towards production targets and ensure orders are completed on time.
• Read and follow production paperwork, labels, drawings and instructions.
• Record production progress using electronic scanning systems.
• Carry out quality checks to meet specifications.
• Report faults and resolve minor issues where possible.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Follow health and safety procedures and use PPE.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support team members.
• Contribute ideas to improve quality and productivity.

Production Operative – Joinery Manufacturing

Pay: £12.75 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing team.

Working as part of a team, you will help manufacture bespoke joinery products, taking them from raw materials through to finished goods. You will use a variety of tools and machinery to cut, shape, assemble and finish timber products, ensuring every order meets the required standards for quality, safety and customer satisfaction.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing, fabrication or warehousing experience who takes pride in their work, has a keen eye for detail and enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.

Previous experience working with wood, joinery or production machinery would be an advantage. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to working safely are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tools and machinery to cut, shape, assemble and finish timber products.
• Work towards individual and team production targets, ensuring orders are completed on time.
• Read and follow production paperwork, labels, technical drawings and written instructions.
• Use electronic scanning systems to record production progress and update order statuses.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet required specifications.
• Identify and report faults, discrepancies and production issues, resolving minor issues where appropriate.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Carry out routine equipment checks, basic maintenance and regular cleaning.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support other team members when required.
• Contribute ideas to improve quality, efficiency and productivity.
