Job description

Production OperatorNewark, 37.5 hours per week3 rotating shifts, 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm and 10pm to 6amGBP13.40 per hour

Driving license preferred due to location

Our award-winning, forward-thinking client is looking for a number of Production Operators to join their well-established team in Newark.

Our client is a market leader in their area of expertise within manufacturing of bespoke products for multiple industries.

THE ROLE

Your responsibilities as a Production Operator will include:

  • Maintaining production equipment to a high standard
  • To ensure all health and safety requirements including PPE are adhered to whilst working on site
  • To follow product specifications and produce relevant documentation once product is completed
  • To open product moulds, remove product, set up, and close product moulds to the required specification
  • Trim and finish products to a high standard
  • To operate the assigned machinery
  • To locate and use any raw materials required
  • Keeping workspace and general area clean and tidy to avoid hazards
  • Working pro actively during down time and supporting team members
THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Production Operator will be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:

  • Previous manufacturing background is desirable
  • A high level of attention to detail is important
  • Operating hand tools
  • Knowledge of health and safety in a manufacturing environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required
  • A satisfactory level and Maths and English is essential
  • Time management skills are needed for the role
