Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in March is seeking a production operator to support sustainable paper and packaging operations. You will operate a designated machine, monitor material quality, and follow safety and quality procedures to ensure efficient production and product integrity.

Qualifications

• Operate the designated machine following its technical requirements to ensure optimal utilisation, cost and quality.
• Monitor and report discrepancies in raw materials and finished goods quality.
• Follow established quality control policies and procedures in production flow.
• Fulfill requirements for production and quality reporting.
• Keep workstation clean and tidy.
• Maintain control over the designated machine and perform maintenance duties.
• Inform Team Leader promptly of maintenance issues on the machine.
• Learn production processes and broaden knowledge on conversion-related issues.
• Sign off Safe Working Systems before beginning operations.
• Follow Health and Safety regulations and report hazards.

The Role

Tasks & duties include:

• Operate the designated machine in line with its technical requirements and related best practices I methods to secure its optimal utilisation and cost and quality effective outcome
• Continuously focus on the quality of the delivered raw materials (board, ink, glue) as well as manufactured finished goods through the monitoring and reporting on any discrepancies encountered
• Follow the established quality control policies and procedures in terms of production flow and work organisation
• Fulfill all the requirements in relation to the production and quality reporting
• Keep the workstation clean and tidy
• Keep control over the designated machine in terms of its operational condition and perform all designated maintenance duties and responsibilities associated with the machine
• Ensure passing an updated information to the respective Team Leader of any maintenance- related issues on a designated machine
• Actively seek and take the opportunities to learn the production process and to broaden person's knowledge base on conversion-related issues
• Ensure signing off all the required Safe Working Systems before beginning the specific operation I task
• Follow all of the Healthy and Safety regulations respective for the specific workstation as well as the general company requirements and report on any hazardous discrepancies that need corrective actions
