Job summary

Cuisine Centre, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, is hiring a Production Operative to prepare and assemble plated meals in a fast-paced environment. You will weigh ingredients, follow recipes, and help meet daily production targets while upholding quality, hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Strong numeracy and literacy abilities for measurements and records.

• Experience in food production or raw materials handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble plated meals per production plans and recipes.
• Accurately weigh ingredients while maintaining GMP and food safety.
• Support daily production target achievement.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain hygiene by completing cleaning schedules and using proper chemicals.
• Follow Health & Safety, Food Safety, COSHH, and PPE requirements.
• Minimise waste and dispose of it per company procedures.
• Report quality or production issues to the Production Manager or QA Team.
• Work flexibly across production and contribute to improvements.

Job description

As a Production Operative, you'll play a key role in preparing and assembling plated meals while ensuring the highest standards of quality, food safety, and hygiene. Working in a fast-paced production environment, you'll accurately weigh ingredients, follow recipes, and help achieve daily production targets.

Working Hours

• 40 hours per week
• Monday – Friday: 07:00 – 15:30
• Flexibility and occasional overtime required to meet operational demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble plated meals in line with production plans and recipes.
• Accurately weigh ingredients while maintaining GMP, quality, and food safety standards.
• Support the achievement of daily production targets.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene by completing cleaning schedules and using the correct chemicals.
• Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, COSHH, and PPE requirements.
• Minimise waste and dispose of it correctly in line with company procedures.
• Report quality or production issues promptly to the Production Manager or QA Team.
• Work flexibly across the production operation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
