Giggling Squid in Leicester is seeking a Production Operative to support the day-to-day manufacturing of foods and beverages, operating production machinery and following predetermined procedures.

You will maintain clean, sanitized work areas, ensure quality and compliance with health and safety regulations, and assist with inventory and timely production to meet deadlines.

ROLE OVERVIEW

To support the day-to-day manufacturing operations and processes to foods and beverages, performing packaging, operating machines, following predetermined procedures, and taking food safety regulations on board.

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DELIVERABLES (our expectations of what you will deliver in your role)

• Prepare, assemble, and package food products in accordance with production schedules.
• Operate and manage food production machinery according to company procedures.
• Maintain clean and sanitized work areas in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality and consistency.
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications as set by the company.
• Assist in inventory management and supply ordering.
• Adhere to all relevant health department rules and regulations.
• Report any machinery or equipment issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Coordinate with team members to meet and uphold production deadlines.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.

General

• Actively seeking to learn and be confident on all Kitchen Operating Systems (i.e. Comtrex, Feed It Back)
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested according to the business needs.
• Adhere to dress, equipment and personal hygiene standards are all times.
• Attend work when required by checking the rota on a regular basis.
• Adhere to Health & Safety, Fire, Food Safety and licensing regulations at all times.
• Notify the manager on duty of any accidents.
• Notify the manager on duty when leaving the kitchen.

• Maintain good Internal Hygiene
• Monthly Food Safety and Health & Safety Audits - 90% and above.
• Clear yearly SALSA & EHO audits
