Job summary

Proactive Global in Cramlington is seeking a Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing team. You will be involved in the manufacture and assembly of mechanical and electrical products, with training provided and support from a friendly production crew.

The role covers hands-on assembly, soldering, PCB work, product testing and operating manufacturing equipment, plus quality inspections and documentation to meet daily targets in a safe, well-organised environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
• Soldering experience.
• Practical, hands-on approach to work.
• Good attention to detail and concentration.
• Comfortable working with hand tools and production equipment.
• Good team-working skills.
• Able to follow instructions and established processes accurately.
• Able to work efficiently in a target-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical products in line with manufacturing instructions and safety procedures
• Carry out hands-on assembly using a range of handheld tools
• Complete PCB assembly and associated production tasks
• Perform hand soldering, including through-hole components
• Assemble finished products to the required specification
• Carry out functional and quality testing of completed products
• Work as part of a production team to achieve daily targets
• Complete quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process
• Accurately complete relevant production and quality documentation
• Operate machinery and equipment as required, including metal press equipment
• Follow all company health and safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy production environment where you will be involved in the manufacture and assembly of mechanical and electrical products. The successful candidate will receive training and work as part of a supportive production team.

The role will involve a combination of hands‑on assembly, soldering, PCB work, product testing and operating manufacturing equipment.
