Job summary

Kingdom People is seeking Production Operatives and Machine Operators for permanent day and night shifts in the Chichester area. Typical hours include 6-6 shifts with day rates at £13.26 per hour and a £1 night premium from 9:30pm-6am.

Machine Operators on day shifts are £14.13 per hour. As a Production Operative, you will join a busy pack house and production team, ensuring quality, safety and efficiency across multiple duties in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all products are packed accurately and in accordance with customer specifications.
• Enforce and maintain an effective stock rotation system.
• Ensure the pack house is free from rubbish, clean, tidy and compliant with Food Hygiene and HACCP requirements.
• Maintain production areas and surrounding areas to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.
• Ensure all allocated tasks are completed fully, accurately and to the required standard.
• Ensure all relevant sign-off sheets and production records are completed correctly and on time.
• Comply with all Company policies, procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
• Comply with all Company Environmental Objectives and requirements.
• Liaise with the production team regarding product quality and raise any concerns promptly.
• Support the smooth and efficient running of production throughout the shift.
• Previous experience within a food manufacturing, production or packaging environment

Our leading food manufacturer with sites situated across the UK
is looking for Production operatives on both permanent days shift
and permanent night shift.

As a Production Operative, you will play an important role in
ensuring that production activities are completed efficiently,
safely and to the required quality standards. You will work as
part of the production team across a range of duties within the
pack house and production areas.

• The experience and skills that will help you hit the ground running are:
• Ability to operate effectively in all relevant positions within the DCF, including loading lines, boxing, palletising, packing and changing machines.
• Ability to work in accordance with Company Health & Safety policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols.
• Ability to interpret and follow product specifications and customer requirements.
• Ability to prioritise workload effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to work independently using your own initiative.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail, particularly in relation to product quality, hygiene and customer specifications.
• A reliable and flexible approach to working hours and production requirements.
• Small enough that your output and ideas are noticed; large enough to offer regular hours and overtime.
• Direct link between the field and the packhouse - you see the crop come in and the finished bags go out.
