Energas, part of the Air Liquide Group in the UK, is hiring a safety-focused production operative in Bradford. Based in our yard, you will load and unload cylinders and operate a forklift. People who enjoy active outdoor work are encouraged to apply.

Formación

• Forklift experience preferred; training provided.
• Ability to safely move heavy cylinders around the yard.

Responsabilidades

• Load, unload, and manoeuvre stock across wagons and trailers.
• Operate a counterbalance forklift to move cylinders in yard and warehouse.
• Complete daily vehicle/equipment check sheets and report defects.
• Follow safety policies and SOPs at all times.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? We are currently searching for a reliable safety-focused production operative to join our team in Bradford. In this role you will be primarily based in our yard, operating a forklift to safely load and unload commercial delivery wagons. If you enjoy active, hands‑on work and are comfortable working outdoors, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading & Unloading: Safely load, unload, and manoeuvre stock across 26- to 44-tonne wagons and trailers.


• Yard & Forklift Operations: Operate an FLT to move stock and heavy cylinders (up to 2 tonnes per lift) throughout the outdoor yard and warehouse.


• Compliance & Reporting: Complete daily vehicle/equipment check sheets (FTA sheets), report defects promptly.


• Health and Safety: Conform to and enforce the Company Safety, Health and Environment Policy at all times, and follow SOPs.

Are you a MATCH?

• Forklift Experience: Prior experience operating a counterbalance forklift is beneficial, but training can be provided.


• Manual Handling: An ability to safely move heavy cylinders around the yard (training provided).


• Work Environment: Comfortable working outdoors and indoors in a fast‑paced yard.


• Safety & Detail: Strong commitment to site health and safety rules, with clear communication and basic paperwork accuracy.


• Strong communication skills and an ability to work well in a team environment.
