Job summary

Harlow Timber Group is seeking a Production Operative at Bardon to ensure roof truss and joist profiles are completed accurately and on schedule. You will work to engineer sheets, set out profiles, and contribute to delivery planning within a team.

The role involves reading technical drawings, adhering to health and safety guidelines, and collaborating in regular production meetings to optimise output and quality across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure profile trusses are complete and manufactured to design sheets.
• Meet weekly delivery dates and requirements with Production Manager and Supervisor.
• Take part in daily/weekly production meetings.
• Follow health and safety requirements at all times.
• Monitor and maintain equipment with the Supervisor.

Location: Harlow Timber Systems, Walker Road, Forest Business Park, Bardon Hill, Coalville, Leicestershire , LE67 1TU

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4pm, Friday 7:30am to 3:45pm.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated ProductionOperative to join our team at Harlow Timber Systems Bardon. The role of ProductionOperative within the company is to ensure that all production roof truss and joist profiles are complete and manufactured to the correct design sheets issued to the team. To ensure that all truss/joist profiles are set out to the correct dimensions and configuration detailed on the engineer sheets. To ensure that all Profiles are complete on time as required by the delivery schedule for that project.

What you’ll be doing as a Truss Operative:

• Ensuring that all Profile trusses are complete correctly. Controlled and monitored with paperwork.
• Ensuring weekly delivery dates and requirements are achieved as planned with the Production Manager and Supervisor.
• Be involved in daily/weekly production meetings.
• Following and adhering to Health & Safety requirements for the business.
• The monitoring and maintenance of equipment with the Supervisor is maintained.
• Ensuring that the Production Team for each station has work and products set out to manufacture.
• Working on your own within a team to meet a production schedule.

Your Skills:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
