Job summary

Gi Group in Alton is seeking a Production Operative to support production and warehouse duties within a print on demand facility. This hands-on role focuses on safe working, operating RM and Packsize machinery, and maintaining quality through careful packing and labeling.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00. The role offers a straightforward shift and benefits including 28 days holiday, weekly pay, a pension, and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Ideally previous machine operating experience, using bailing/compaction equipment
• Reliable, safety conscious and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Self-motivated, flexible with a can do attitude

Responsibilities

• Operating RM & Packsize machinery ensuring attention to detail is maintained at all times
• Setting up machinery on a daily basis, ensuring customised measurements are in place prior to operating
• Warehouse duties - loading and unloading /packing and labelling
• Collecting and processing packaging waste from product area including safe operation of QCR Balers

We have a new opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join a well-established print on demand platform, working within their production facility in Alton. This is a hands-on Warehouse role supporting with production and Warehouse duties, with a strong focus on safe working, operating machinery, adhering to H&S practices with excellent attention to detail.
