Job summary

Kenect Recruitment is recruiting Production Operatives for an Aldridge packaging manufacturer. The role involves manufacturing wooden pallets and cardboard packaging on timber lines, with training provided.

You will work at the Aldridge site initially, with moves to the Wednesbury site planned in the future; Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, full-time hours in a busy factory environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or machine operation beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work across different areas of production.
• Manufacture packaging products on timber and cardboard lines.
• Operate production machinery and power tools safely.
• Measure and cut materials to spec.
• Read drawings and specifications.
• Run gluing, stapling and stenciling machines.
• Carry out quality checks on products.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Meet daily production targets.

The Role

As a ProductionOperative, you willbe involved inthe manufacturing ofpackaging products, workingacross different areasof production.

• Working with timberto manufacture woodenpallets
• Operating production machineryto manufacture cardboardpackaging
• Using power toolsand hand toolssafely
• Measuring and cuttingmaterials
• Reading basic drawingsand specifications
• Operating gluing, stapling, and stenciling machines
• Carrying out qualitychecks
• Maintaining a cleanand safe workingenvironment
• Working efficiently tomeet daily productiontargets

Previous experience withinmanufacturing, machineoperating, or usingpower tools wouldbe beneficial butis not essential, as full trainingwill beprovided.
