Job summary

BBC Scotland News & Current Affairs is seeking a Production Management Assistant to provide day-to-day support across projects, helping maintain output quality. You will coordinate travel, manage costs, and assist with IT and studio operations from our Pacific Quay office in Glasgow.

The role is primarily office-based with some flexible working discussed at offer stage. It offers development within a trusted, global brand and a dynamic newsroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with BBC systems and procedures.
• Experience in fast-paced environments.
• Live TV Gallery/Studio experience.
• Strong IT co-ordinator skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Book accommodation, transport and travel for all news projects.
• Raise requisitions and payments via BBC systems and log costs.
• Provide IT coordination support to the News department, overseeing software/hardware needs.
• Assist with studio support, including autocue and floor management, with afternoon/evening shifts.
• Clear music/stills and handle paperwork via Albert, Silvermouse, Proteus.
• Support office management and handle ad-hoc requests for the production support team.
