Job summary

Thorn Baker Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting for experienced Production MIG Welders to join an established manufacturing operation in Chesterfield. This is long-term, ongoing work on a regular day shift with consistent hours and overtime opportunities.

You will be MIG welding large industrial casings and components, reading engineering drawings and interpreting welding specifications. The role requires high welding quality and the ability to work to production targets, with weekly pay

Qualifications

• Previous MIG welder experience in production/manufacturing.
• Experience welding larger components or casings.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Weld test prior to starting.

PRODUCTION MIG WELDER – CHESTERFIELD

MIG Welder | Production Welding | Day Shift | Ongoing Work | Weekly Pay

£15.20 per hour + overtime up to £30.40 per hour

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced MIG Welders / Production MIG Welders to join an established manufacturing operation in Chesterfield.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MIG Welder looking for long-term, ongoing work on a regular day shift, with consistent hours and overtime available.

MIG Welder – The Role

As a Production MIG Welder, you will be working as part of a busy manufacturing team, carrying out MIG welding on large industrial components and casings.

Your duties will include:

• MIG welding large industrial casings and components
• Production and batch MIG welding
• Working from engineering drawings
• Interpreting measurements and welding specifications
• Maintaining a consistent quality of weld
• Working to production targets within a busy manufacturing environment
• Completing repetitive welding work while maintaining quality and accuracy

MIG Welder – Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 05:45am start
• 39–48 hours per week depending on workload
• Early finish every Friday
• Regular overtime available
• Overtime available Monday to Sunday

MIG Welder – Pay

• £15.20 per hour basic rate
• £22.80 per hour overtime – Monday to Saturday
• £30.40 per hour overtime – Sunday and Bank Holidays
• Weekly pay

All overtime is optional.

Requirements

To be considered for this Production MIG Welder position, you will need:

• Previous experience as a MIG Welder
• Experience within a production or manufacturing environment
• Previous experience welding larger components or casings
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail and welding quality
• Ability to work to production requirements and targetsGood attendance and reliability
• Ability to successfully complete a weld test before starting
